Growing up as a military dependent meant embracing change early in life—new places, new schools, and a move every three years. That journey eventually brought me to Hawaii in 1965, where the spirit of the islands and the era—surf culture, sunshine, and freedom—left a lasting impression. It was there I discovered a passion for surfing and developed a deep appreciation for the lifestyle and community.
In 1977, I began a career dedicated to service, joining the fire service and splitting my time between the Honolulu Fire Department and the Hawaii County Fire Department. Over 23 years, I built a career grounded in commitment, discipline, and helping others in their most critical moments.
After retiring from the fire service, that same drive to serve led me into the mortgage industry, where I now specialize in HECM reverse mortgages. My focus is on helping homeowners better understand how to use their home equity as a financial tool—empowering them to create more stability, flexibility, and confidence in retirement.
Service has always been at the core of what I do—just in a different way now.
